1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Neurofeed website and application (the "Service") operated by Neurofeed ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Neurofeed. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Users between 13 and 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You must promptly notify us of any unauthorised access to your account at security@neurofeed.app.
• You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other users' accounts, or any computer networks.
• Transmit malware, spam, or any harmful code through the Service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service beyond your personal use.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service.
• Use the RSS proxy feature to access internal network resources or perform Server-Side Request Forgery attacks.

5. RSS Feeds and Third-Party Content

Neurofeed allows you to subscribe to third-party RSS feeds. You acknowledge that:

• Third-party content belongs to its respective publishers and is subject to their own terms and copyright.
• We act only as a proxy to display content you have chosen to read — we do not host, endorse, or take responsibility for third-party content.
• You must comply with the terms of use of any RSS feeds you access through Neurofeed.
• We may block RSS feed sources at our discretion if they violate our policies or present security risks.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Plan: Neurofeed offers a free tier with access to core reading features.

Pro Plan: Premium features (AI flashcards, quizzes, speed reader, social features, leagues) are available via a paid subscription billed monthly.

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• Subscriptions auto-renew each billing period unless cancelled.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Manage Subscription. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

7. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on new Pro subscriptions. If you are not satisfied, email hello@neurofeed.app within 7 days of your initial payment and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.

After the 7-day window, subscription payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law (e.g., EU consumer protection regulations). Partial refunds for unused subscription time are not provided upon cancellation.

8. Intellectual Property

The Neurofeed application, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by Neurofeed and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your personal data and reading history remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. AI-generated flashcards and quiz content may contain inaccuracies — always verify important information from authoritative sources.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEUROFEED SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO NEUROFEED IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain types of damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Neurofeed and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any third-party rights; or (c) any content you submit or actions you take through the Service.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Delete Account. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for issues involving intellectual property or unauthorised access.

If you are an EU or UK consumer, you retain the right to bring claims before courts in your country of residence under applicable consumer protection laws.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account.
